We connect with your employer’s payroll system so that any money you access through the app is deducted from your next pay before you get it.
On payday, you’re paid your regular earnings, minus the amount you accessed from Humanforce Thrive. However there are some instances when this doesn’t happen.
1. You may have withdrawn after your employer made their deductions
Employers usually make their deductions - such as for a salary sacrifice or to repay money accessed from Humanforce Thrive - towards the end of the pay cycle when they run payroll. This can impact when your withdrawal is deducted.
If you withdraw later in the pay cycle, your employer may have already processed their deductions. This means money you withdraw from the Humanforce Thrive app will be deducted from your following pay.
Having an outstanding repayment can mean your available balance (the amount you’re able to access) is lower, as it is your earnings minus what’s outstanding.
If you don’t want to wait for your employer to deduct these withdrawals from your next pay, you can reach out to us to repay the outstanding amount manually.
2. Your employer may not have entered your unpaid leave into the system
Every now and then, we may not receive up-to-date information on your earnings. This can mean your available balance isn’t 100% accurate.
If you withdraw more than you had actually earned, it’s likely you’ll have an outstanding repayment. The outstanding amount will be deducted from your next pay unless you reach out to us to pay this back manually.
Keep in mind that your outstanding amount will impact the amount you can access through the app. This means you’ll be able to access your total earnings minus the amount outstanding.
3. You’ve finished up with your employer so need to repay manually
Once you’ve finished up with your employer, you’ll no longer be able to track or access your earnings through the app. If your employer isn’t able to deduct your total withdrawals from your final pay, you’ll have an outstanding repayment.
We’ll need to direct debit this amount from your linked bank account unless you reach out to us to set up a repayment plan.
When you sign up to the app and link your bank account, you agree we can directly debit any money owing to us that can’t be repaid through your employer.
If you’re worried about having this money debited from your linked bank account, we can help. Get in touch with one of our team and we’ll help you set up a repayment plan that’s affordable to you as you finish up with your employer.
